Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a claim that Dele Alli will not be leaving Spurs to join Real Madrid.

With Tottenham said to be in pursuit of two Madrid players, being Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon, there have been suggestions that the north London side could be sending one of their players in the opposite direction.

The Express states that this player could be Alli, as the paper claim that he has had a ‘fallout’ with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.

However, according to Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz, Alli will not be part of any deal between Spurs and Los Blancos.

After this news was relayed by Daily Hotspur on Twitter, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing delighted that the 24-year-old looks likely to be staying in north London for now.

Since arriving at Spurs from Milton Keynes Dons in what was a £5.97 million deal back in 2015, Alli has gone on to make 223 appearances for the club, scoring 62 goals and providing 55 assists along the way.

Last season though, Alli struggled somewhat for Spurs, averaging the lowest season rating, 6.87, of the five complete seasons he has played for the club, despite still managing to score eight goals and provide four assists over his 25 appearances in the league.

However, despite this fact, more Spurs fans took to Twitter to share their relief that the £57.6 million-rated attacking midfielder does not appear to be leaving the club – though not all of them were on the same page.

All in all, it would seem that these Spurs fans are delighted to read that the 24-year-old will not be part of any deal for either of Bale or Reguilon and that it would seem as if he will be with the club for a little while longer just yet.
