On the latest video for his YouTube channel, Football.london reporter Alasdair Gold has been discussing the latest goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur, reflecting on the 1-0 loss against Everton last weekend, and shedding some light on the latest transfer rumours surrounding the club.

One topic of discussion on his recent video was Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The former Sheffield United man scored the only goal as Carlo Ancelotti’s side claimed all three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend (per BBC). It seems as if Gold feels he would be an excellent signing for the Lilywhites in the future.

1. Spurs signed Alfie Devine from which League One club?

Here’s what the journalist had to say about the 23-year-old during his video:

“Calvert-Lewin, who I actually think would be a brilliant player for Tottenham, I really do, I really like Calvert-Lewin. I think, funnily enough, he’s the perfect Mourinho striker, in a way.”

TIF Thoughts…

Gold was perhaps impressed by the Englishman’s performance in the recent game, and it is easy to see why, with the forward picking up a superb 7.97 rating for his display against the Lilywhites (per WhoScored).

Last season in the Premier League, the Toffees ace scored 13 goals in 36 appearances, averaging a solid 6.87 rating (per WhoScored) and if he improves on that tally this season, then perhaps it would not be a surprise to see the 23-year-old linked with a move away in the not too distant future.

Would you like to see Spurs make a move for Calvert-Lewin in the future?

If Spurs were interested in bringing him in, then you would imagine that he wouldn’t come cheap, as he is currently valued at £21.6 million by Transfermarkt, and has five years left on his deal. However, Gold clearly feels that Calvert-Lewin would suit Mourinho, so perhaps we will see the two link up at Spurs in the future.
