Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a reported update on Gareth Bale, which suggests that Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid have agreed a loan deal for the winger.
According to Duncan Castles in the Daily Record (via Daily Hotspur), Spurs have now agreed a loan deal with Los Blancos for the Welsh international. Spurs sold the 31-year-old to the La Liga side for a world-record fee back in 2013 and in his time there, the winger has proved to be extremely successful, winning the Champions League on four occasions, and the La Liga title on two occasions (per Transfermarkt).
Despite contributing an impressive 105 goals and 68 assists in 251 appearances for the Spanish giants (per Transfermarkt), the Welshman’s relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane has drastically deteriorated in recent years, and it is clear that they are desperate to be rid of him in the current transfer window.
If the winger can rediscover the form he showed in his first spell with Spurs, where he contributed 56 goals and 58 assists in 203 appearances (per Transfermarkt), then he will surely prove to be a very good loan signing indeed.

Overall, it seems clear that a lot of Spurs fans are delighted to hear that there is now seemingly a good chance of Bale returning to the Lilywhites this season.
