Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest transfer rumour regarding Danny Rose, which suggests that Serie A side Cagliari have registered an interest in the left-back.
According to Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato (via Hotspur Related), I Rossoblu have contacted the Lilywhites about a potential deal to sign the 30-year-old defender. The former England international spent the second half of last season on loan with Newcastle United, where he made 11 appearances in the Premier League, averaging a less than impressive 6.47/10 rating (per WhoScored).
Following Steve Bruce’s side’s signing of Jamal Lewis earlier this week, it seems unlikely that the Spurs man will be returning to the North East on a permanent deal, and his chances of featuring with the Lilywhites don’t look particularly good either, when you consider the reported bust-up he had with Jose Mourinho earlier this year. Therefore, it would perhaps not be a surprise to see him leave the north London club permanently this summer, and Cagliari may prove to be a viable option for the left-back.
Would you let Danny Rose leave for free?

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans want to see Rose leave Spurs this summer – even it was for free – but no doubt, the club will want to receive some sort of fee for the £14.4 million-rated defender, given concerns over the club’s financial state.
