Spurs fans: How well can you remember the last week of THFC action? - 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal of the season?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was Spurs’ reported approach for Danny Ings.

It seems as if Tottenham do want to sign Ings, but that deal is off the table in this transfer window, but they might come back to it next season.

He said: “They have a long-standing interest in Danny Ings, but I would say there is a 0% chance of that happening this summer.

“Maybe next season, but definitely not happening this summer.”

Would you be pleased if Spurs signed Ings?

TIF Thoughts…

Ings was in stellar form for Southampton last season as he scored 22 goals in the Premier League, and he has been linked with a move to north London recently, but if Bridge is to be believed, that won’t be happening.

The 28-year-old scored twice against Spurs on Sunday, so you can see why they would be interested in signing him, but it looks like that won’t happen in this window.

Ings was that good last season that his 22 league goals would have made him Spurs’ top goalscorer by four, and his average rating of 7.12 would have also ranked him in third place in Tottenham’s squad.

However, it looks like they will not be signing Ings in this window if Bridge’s information is to be believed, and we will just have to see if they end up signing a striker or if they go with what they have got.
