A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have replied to a post from Last Word On Spurs that contains a video from Sky Sports News (via Football Daily) with reporter Dharmesh Sheth providing an update on Tanguy Ndombele’s future.
This came after a report emerged claiming he would be allowed to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in this transfer window.
However, it appears as if this report might be jumping the gun slightly, as according to information from Paul Gilmour relayed by Sheth, Spurs still see Ndombele as an ‘asset.’
It is claimed that the 23-year-old will be ‘given the chance to prove himself‘ in the 2020/21 season; however, he is currently self-isolating, so he is not exactly undergoing ideal preparations for the new season.
This post has drawn the attention of many Spurs fans, who are happy with this news.
Do you think Ndombele will get a chance this season?
No, he will be gone soon
Yes, he will get a chance
Good! Let him prove himself on the pitch with a fresh clean slate. He’s got to get himself into the euros squad too so lots of motivation

Ndombele was signed from Lyon in the summer of 2019 for a club-record fee but only managed to make 21 appearances in the Premier League, and since the restart in June, he has only featured for 64 minutes.
As well as this, he was hooked at half time of a 1-1 draw with Burnley and was publicly slated by Jose Mourinho, and it has been claimed in recent days that he has been put up for sale by Spurs.
However, if Sky Sports’ information is correct, then that isn’t true, but these Spurs fans appear to think there is no way back for him.
Such nonsense. Jose clearly has no interest at all and bar a massive change in fitness and attitude he will never play again in a meaningful game. Will just waste in reserves until loaned out and sold at a loss in 2 years. Standard levy madness

The only reason he’ll be at Spurs next season, is that Levy won’t be able to get anywhere near the money they paid for him & he won’t let him go for a big loss. They’ll have to keep him, give him the odd game, hope he shows some form & then move him next window.

we’re doomed

Surely one tweet or comment but him, Mou or the club, confirming he is part of the plans or looking forward to the season with Spurs etc would knock this one on the head. The silence is deafening though.

Ndombele’s Spurs career got off to a good start with a goal and an assist in his first two Premier League games, but he did not follow that up and only managed to feature in 90 minutes for three top-flight games.
There were also claims that he fell out with Mourinho, but it looks as if the club will give him another season to prove himself, which could be a good thing, but we will have to see if he is given that chance or not.
