Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to Twitter in order to respond to a post from @THFCReports which relays some information given by Fabrizio Romano following his recent appearance on the Last Word On Spurs podcast.
According to the post, the journalist revealed that two weeks ago, the Lilywhites enquired about the possibility of bringing Christian Eriksen back to the club. Spurs paid £12.74m in August 2013 to sign the Denmark international from Ajax (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
During his time in north London, he made 305 appearances for the club, scoring 69 goals and providing his teammates with 89 assists. Here is how a sample of the Tottenham faithful has responded to the information provided by Romano during the podcast.
No point. A hole in our team, but the reason he left was because he needed a new environment. If he were to come back it would not be the best situation for either party. Great player, not right for us.

I don’t want him back. We have to move forward not back

It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters would not be keen on a return to north London for Eriksen after he was sold to Inter in January for £24.3m (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
However, some were more open to the idea and made their feelings known in the replies.
I’d take him back. If he comes back and has his head on straight he could definitely benefit the club.

The 28-year-old has made 17 Serie A appearances since swapping north London for Milan but nine of those have come as a substitute (as per WhoScored.com) and, therefore, it could perhaps be argued that his career at Inter hasn’t begun quite as he would have hoped.
