Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to a post from @ASpursyPodcast which relayed the news that Fulham are interested in signing defender Juan Foyth.
According to The Athletic’s Peter Rutzler, the Cottagers are interested in making a move to sign Foyth on a permanent deal.
The Lilywhites signed the 22-year-old back in August 2017 from Estudiantes in a deal reportedly worth £11.7m (as per Transfermarkt). During his time with the club so far, he has made 32 appearances for the first team, chipping in with one goal.
The post seemed to imply that a potential Foyth departure would be a good thing, having asked, ‘Can this day get any better?’ – presumably in relation to Spurs’ possible double swoop for Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon – before declaring, ‘Get him out’.
Here is how a sample of the club’s supporters have responded to @ASpursyPodcast’s post on social media with regards to the Argentina international.
He’s not that bad lol

Imagine celebrating a high-potential player’s transfer from your club ?

Unpopular opinion: I think in a few years time he’ll be at a ‘big’ club and we’ll regret letting him leave (I hope I’m wrong)

Would you like to see Juan Foyth sold?
Yes
No
Foyth was limited to just seven appearances in all competitions for Spurs last season and therefore it could be argued that he needs to move in order to start playing regular football. The fans continued to make their feelings known in the replies.
That’s a shame I rate him. I think there’s a great player there. I think Ledders could improve his game immensely. He’s far better then Sanchez imho

The centre-back, for the time being at least, remains a Tottenham player – but based on the speculation regarding his future and the fact he played very little football last season, it may not be long before Foyth is wearing another team’s colours.
