According to L’Equipe, the frontman wants to leave his Ligue 1 club and there is an ‘urgency to settle the case’.
The report goes on to claim that the player’s ‘priority’ destination would be a move to Jose Mourinho’s outfit.
L’Equipe’s article goes on to state that Metz would want ‘at least’ €15m (£13.8m) for the 25-year-old forward’s services.
This report was relayed to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful by Hotspur Related and it had lots of them talking.

Go for it, fast, tall, strong striker a good understudy to Kane and can be good off the bench in league games with his pace

Diallo currently has two years left on his contract with Metz and a market value of £10.8m according to Transfermarkt.
Would you be happy if Spurs signed Habib Diallo from FC Metz?

Compared to Milik and Weghorst, this guy is not good enough

During the 2019/20 Ligue 1 campaign, the Senegalese frontman bagged a respectable tally of 12 goals and three assists in 26 matches for his French club (per Transfermarkt).
In the season before that, though, the 25-year-old attacker was in sublime form as he notched a whopping 26 goals and six assists in 37 Ligue 2 matches.
However, he is yet to find the back of the net after three league appearances so far this season.
If we don’t get Weghourst. We should go for him.

Aww I actually feel bad for him. Seems like he wanted the move since January. Just shame he isn’t really our priority

As can be seen in these reactions from Spurs fans, it seems that whether or not the club should sign Diallo divided opinion amongst them.
