Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs news Twitter account @TalkingTHFC which shares Real Madrid’s reported asking price for left-back Sergio Reguilon.

This tweet shares that Los Blancos are allegedly demanding a fee of between €20-25m (£17.78-22.23m) for the Spanish left-back and this post cites Spanish publication Marca as the original source of the news.

This comes after Marca recently published a report sharing this news about Real Madrid’s asking price for the player, as well as explaining that Reguilon is ‘unlikely to stay’ at the Bernabeu, as Zinedine Zidane prefers the left-back options of Ferland Mendy and Marcelo.

This report from Marca also claims that Tottenham Hotspur are ‘following’ Reguilon and after this news concerning the alleged Spurs target’s price tag was shared on Twitter by @TalkingTHFC, plenty of Lilywhites supporters reacted to this reported news.

Many of the Spurs supporters who replied to this tweet called for their club to sign the player, with one Tottenham fan declaring that they believe this ‘would be such a big upgrade’ for their club and another Lilywhites supporter stating that they believe this is a ‘no-brainer.’

However, one particular Spurs fan replied to this tweet to share that they don’t think that Reguilon will make the move to Jose Mourinho’s side this summer.

So, judging by the replies to this post, it seems as though the majority of Spurs fans would like to see Reguilon playing for Tottenham.

This may not be too surprising considering that the 23-year-old left-back is coming off the back of an impressive 2019/20 campaign in which he won the UEFA Europa League during a loan spell with Sevilla and earned an impressive overall WhoScored rating of 7.10 from his 31 La Liga appearances during that loan spell, making him Sevilla’s joint-second-highest rated player in Spain’s top-flight for the 2019/20 season.

However, according to Marca, Manchester United, Juventus and Internazionale are also said to be interested in Reguilon, and with that in mind, it may be fair to say that Tottenham would seemingly face plenty of competition for the 23-year-old’s signature, so this may not be an easy deal to pull off.
