A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post from THFCReport that has relayed news from Fabrizio Romano’s appearance on the Last Word On Spurs podcast.
Romano provided transfer updates on Tottenham and also revealed that Erik Lamela doesn’t want to leave and thinks he can have a good season for Jose Mourinho’s men.
This has drawn a reaction from these Tottenham fans, who are sick of the Argentine.
Are you happy with this news?
No, I want Lamela gone
Yes, he deserves another chance
If we’re looking to sign another winger then he can go. Should have gotten rid a few seasons ago.

Lamela signed for Spurs in the summer of 2013 and since then has made 222 appearances, scored 33 goals and provided 47 assists.
He has had a torrid time with injuries in the past, but last season, he wasn’t very impressive as he scored two goals and provided one assist in 25 league games for Spurs.
This gave him an average rating of just 6.64/10, which put him in 17th place in Tottenham’s squad (as per WhoScored).
However, despite this, it is clear that many Spurs fans still like Lamela and want to keep him at the club, so they are pleased with this news.

No doubt about his quality, if he’s consistent could be good

The former Roma man, who is valued at £14.4m by Transfermarkt, had looked to be on the way out this summer, but according to Romano, he does not want to leave north London.
Lamela has two years of his contract remaining, and it was thought that he could be sold to boost Spurs’ decimated transfer budget, but it looks as if the player is happy to remain with Tottenham, even though some Spurs fans are less keen on that happening.
