Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report by Alasdair Gold that provided an update on the club’s potential move for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik.
In Gold’s article for Football.london, the journalist reported that ‘Milik’s camp are pushing him to various clubs’, however, that Spurs ‘remain undecided on a move for the Napoli striker’, whose proposed move to AS Roma collapsed last week, with ‘plenty of speculation over the reasons’.
He continues by stating that the ‘biggest problem’ for Spurs in attracting centre-forwards over the summer transfer window has been their targets’ uncertainty about joining the club due to the ‘reduced minutes they would get because of [Harry] Kane’.
After this news was relayed on Twitter by Last Word On Spurs, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many left worried about the prospect of their club not being able to land a striker prior to the end of the summer transfer window.
We’re not signing a striker are we

I don’t get it Mourinho screaming out for striker instead they hitting themselves on a defender weghorst for me

This is getting a joke now
We have 4 games in 7 days and still only 1 striker
We trying to injure Kane again https://t.co/xNvjjelO1s— Alex (@alexcoys2020) September 25, 2020
Just sign milik & Skriniar. Then levy has done his job and no one can blame him anymore. It’s all eyes on jose then

The frustration of these fans is easy to understand, as Spurs have a rather packed fixture schedule over the coming weeks, and only Kane in their first-team squad as an out-and-out striker.
And with just a little over a week before the transfer window closes until January, the club are quickly running out of time to bring in someone to help share the burden of the England captain.
Do you think Arkadiusz Milik will be a Spurs player by the end of the transfer window?
Yes
No
As such, many more fans took to Twitter to call for their club to do all they can to get a deal for Milik – or indeed any other striker – over the line.
Do we have another target? It’s really ludicrous to make Kane play all 4 games in 8 days. We struggled again last night without an orthodox striker. It just invites him to get injured again

Disappointing @AlasdairGold
You normally give good news ??— Jack B (@BrophanJack) September 25, 2020
However, one fan questioned whether Milik would be worth the money Spurs would have to spend to sign him.
Ideal Target Striker for José Mourinho, very tall and even more athletic than Harry Kane, but there’s the injury history
I want Daniel Levy to spend money so bad I want to support this move, but is Arkadiusz Milik worth the money?

All in all, it would seem the majority of these Spurs fans want their club to sign a striker prior to the closure of the summer transfer window, and considering Kane’s injury record last season, we have to say, the addition of another striker to the Tottenham squad would appear to be a very sensible move by Spurs.
