Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs news Twitter account @HotspurRelated which shares some reported news concerning the Lilywhites’ pursuit of 28-year-old Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose.
This tweet shares some alleged news that was recently reported by ElDesmarque who have claimed that the Brazilian forward ‘is on the agenda of several top-level clubs,’ one being Tottenham.
The report from ElDesmarque states that Spurs were unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the Brazilian back in January when they offered €20m (£18.45m) to secure the player’s services and this article suggests that the Lilywhites may go back in for the Real Sociedad man before the current Premier League transfer window closes on 5th October.
After this reported news was shared via a tweet by @HotspurRelated, plenty of Spurs fans replied to their post to share their thoughts on the possibility of their club making a move for Willian Jose.

Many of the Tottenham supporters who replied to this tweet shared a negative reaction to this reported news.
Desperate embarrassment of a football club. Happy to spare no expense on the stadium but penny pinching on the pitch. That’s why we are sliding towards mid-table

Would Willian Jose be a good signing for Spurs?
YES
NO
Judging by these Spurs fans’ replies to this post, it seems as though this particular signing would not be a popular one amongst the north London club’s supporters, however, considering that Spurs’ lack of depth at the centre-forward position was exposed last season during an ‘injury crisis’, it may be a good idea for them to sign a striker before the current transfer window closes.
Given that Willian Jose has scored more than 10 La Liga goals in each of the last four seasons, perhaps he would be a reliable player to add to their attacking options.
