On the latest video for his YouTube channel, football.london reporter Alasdair Gold has been discussing the latest goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur, reflecting on the 1-1 draw against Newcastle United last weekend and shedding some light on the latest transfer news surrounding the club.

One topic of conversation on his recent video was Napoli striker and reported Spurs transfer target Arkadiusz Milik.

The Lilywhites have been heavily linked with a move for the former Ajax man throughout the transfer window, and after a move to Roma collapsed, it has been suggested recently that he has been offered to the North London club, as we approach the denouement of the current transfer window.

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

Here’s what Gold had to say about a possible move for Milik during his video:

“You’ve also got Milik, the Napoli striker. Milik’s a strange one, I get asked about him regularly. If you look in the media, Milik is being offered to any club pretty much going.

“He was meant to go to Roma and then it all collapsed very late on. There was lots of speculation [as to] why it collapsed. Since that moment, a lot of clubs have been offered him.

“Spurs, as I understand it, are very undecided over a move for him now.

“It’s a strange situation and I can understand people want him to come, but I think, maybe have a little closer look at that situation and ask yourselves why he’s now being touted to so many different clubs.

“Who knows, Spurs may circle back around and look at him again, but very much undecided from what I was hearing on him.”

TIF Thoughts…

Gold suggests that Spurs are still ‘undecided’ over a move for Milik, but they will surely need to make their minds up quickly, as there is less than a week of the transfer window remaining, and they still have just Harry Kane available as a natural striker in their squad.

Do you think Spurs should bite the bullet and sign Milik?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Although Gold seems slightly concerned that Napoli are so keen to move the 26-year-old on, it may be because his contract runs out at the end of this season, and the fact he scored 11 goals in 26 Serie A appearances last season suggests that he would be a solid addition to Jose Mourinho’s side.
