Many Newcastle United supporters have been responding to the club’s recent post on Twitter in which they shared a screenshot from Ryan Fraser’s Instagram page.

The Magpies completed the signing of the Scottish winger on Monday. The 26-year-old was a free agent after leaving Bournemouth back in June and has signed a five-year deal at St. James’ Park (via nufc.co.uk). In signing for Steve Bruce’s side, Fraser will be given the opportunity to play alongside one of his former teammates Callum Wilson who has also joined the Toon this week.

To get things started a rather easy one. Who scored Newcastle's first league goal of the season?

Here is how a sample of the club’s supporters have responded to the social media post.

It’s clear from the above responses that these Newcastle fans are excited by the recent transfer business their club has completed. Supporters continued to make their feelings known in the replies, with one suggesting that the signings of Fraser and Wilson could suggest something is changing behind the scenes with regards to the club’s ownership.

Fraser has previously made 120 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 16 goals and providing 29 assists to date (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk). As such, it’s clear that he has plenty of experience in the English top-flight and given that his current market value is £15.75m, it could be argued that signing him on a free transfer represents an excellent piece of business.
