Supporters of Newcastle United have been flocking to a Twitter post from the Toon’s French attacker Allan Saint-Maximin.
On Friday afternoon, the former OGC Nice forward posted footage of himself to social media (per Allan Saint-Maximin).
The footage was a compilation of clips from throughout the 2019/20 season.
Alongside the highlights reel, Saint-Maximin commented: ‘Football. The show must go on’ alongside an emoji of a heart and a fist.
This had lots of the St. James’ Park faithful flocking to it to air their reactions.

The Toon secured the arrival of the Frenchman during last summer’s transfer window and he set Newcastle back £16.2m to sign from Nice (per Transfermarkt).
When the player arrived at St. James’ Park, his market value stood at £22.5m and that has since risen to £25.2m.

During the 2019/20 Premier League season, Saint-Maximin bagged a respectable total of three goals and four assists over 26 appearances (per WhoScored).
The winger’s average rating was more impressive than his return in front of goal, though, as he was the Toon’s best-performing player with a 7.29/10.
In fact, the average rating made the Frenchman the joint-16th-best performer in the entirety of the Premier League during the most recent season (per WhoScored).
Great to have you at our club Allan ??????????? ??
