Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Amanda Staveley is apparently ‘unwilling to reignite’ her failed takeover bid for the club.

It was reported back in April that the £300 million Saudi Arabia-funded takeover of Newcastle United had ‘inched closer to completion’ and that no ’11th-hour hitches’ were expected with the deal.

To get things started a rather easy one. Who scored Newcastle's first league goal of the season?

However, following over three months of the deal awaiting Premier League approval, it was eventually announced that Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund PIF, Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners and the Reuben Brothers had all pulled out of the deal, blaming the Premier League for ‘the unforeseeably prolonged process’ as the reason for their decision to withdraw their bid for the club.

The Premier League then broke their silence as to why there was an impasse in the takeover deal, stating that they required clarity over who would be in charge, the Saudi state or PIF, however, received no such clarity on this matter.

The league then reportedly offered the buying party the option of an independent arbitration tribunal regarding the matter, however, the consortium declined, and then voluntarily pulled out of the bid.

And, in recent reports by the Northern Echo, it has been said that Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners group are ‘seemingly unwilling to reignite their failed takeover bid’, which, after it was relayed on Twitter by NUFC 360, left many Newcastle fans angry.

Many more Newcastle fans had their say on the matter, stating their feelings about the latest news regarding Staveley.

All in all, it would appear that these Newcastle fans are not happy with Staveley after the recent news, and would very much like her to make a statement as to why she is not interested in reigniting the takeover bid.
