A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from Lee Ryder that has confirmed that Matt Ritchie will be out for two months with a shoulder injury.
The 31-year-old was substituted off in the 69th minute against Tottenham Hotspur, and it appears as if he will now be out for two months.
This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans who are pleased with this news.
Are you happy with this?
No, we will miss him
Yes, he isn't good enough
Finally some good news, cheers Lee??

Great news we don’t have Ritchie for ages then sell him in January.

Best news I’ve heard in ages https://t.co/9sN9gXDu8l

Ritchie was at fault for Spurs’ goal on Sunday as he let the ball run across him rather than clearing it (0:46) and didn’t play that well, but it seems a bit harsh to be pleased that Ritchie is injured.
One Toon fan thinks that the former Bournemouth man will be back quite quickly, and another is sad that Ritchie has been ruled out.

He’ll be back in three week knowing Ritchie man.

Ritchie’s injury leaves Newcastle with just Jamal Lewis as a natural left-back because Achraf Lazaar is training with the club’s youth players and is free to leave.
This news has, therefore, worried these Newcastle fans who want to see their club go out and get a left-back.
Need to get Jetro Willems in on loan to support Lewis at left back. Perfect option to offer support to Lewis and give both a bit of competition.

Need a left-back for sure now.

Surely be back in the market for another left back? @lee_ryder

Overall, some Toon fans’ reaction to Ritchie’s injury seems harsh, considering he is a player who always puts in 100% effort and is an important character.
However, judging by some of the reactions, maybe some Toon fans don’t think he is good enough.
However, even if they believe that, we don’t think they should be pleased that Ritchie is injured because it leaves them a man down in a position that they don’t have that many players for.
