Supporters of Newcastle United have been reacting to an image which was relayed to social media by Steve Wraith.
On Monday, Wraith relayed an image regarding the failed Saudi Arabian-backed takeover bid to purchase the Toon from Mike Ashley for £300m.
The image was a screenshot from a post on Blackstone Chambers’ website (per Steve Wraith).
The post explained that Shaheed Fatima QC and Nick De Marco QC are working for Mike Ashley in the dispute with the Premier League over the rejected takeover bid.
After this was relayed to supporters by Wraith, it had lots of them talking.

It was initially reported at the end of July that the takeover of the Toon was off after the Saudi-backed consortium had pulled out of the deal (per BBC).
The BBC’s report stated that Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund PIF had run out of patience with the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test.
Good stuff ????

It was then reported in mid-August that the takeover had collapsed after the prospective owners rejected the top flight’s offer of arbitration to determine who would own the club (per BBC).
