A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Alan Shearer after the Toon opened their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over West Ham United.
Shearer tweeted praising the three points and the clean sheet, leaving special mentions for Jeff Hendrick and Callum Wilson, who both scored on their debuts for Newcastle.
This post from the former Toon striker drew the attention of these Newcastle fans, who were buzzing with their club’s start to the Premier League season.
Who impressed you the most?

Newcastle took the lead in the second half when Hendrick flicked on a cross from Javier Manquillo, and Wilson poked the ball home to score his eighth goal in nine games against the Hammers.
However, Hendrick’s dream debut was not over there, as he latched on to a pass from Miguel Almiron and thumped home a fantastic strike to seal the win for Steve Bruce’s men.
This post from Shearer continued to draw the attention of many Newcastle fans.
Here’s hoping for a good season ahead and maybe even a good cup run us fans deserve some happiness howay the lads

Hendrick earned a superb 8.61/10 rating from WhoScored on his debut for Newcastle, while Wilson secured a solid 7.34 rating.
It was the perfect start for the two debutants and another player making his debut, Jamal Lewis, also had a good game (earning a rating of 7.27) as he played his role in the Toon keeping a clean sheet.
Certainly, Shearer was delighted with what he saw, and he will undoubtedly hope Newcastle, Hendrick, and Wilson can build on their positive starts when they take on Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup in midweek ahead of their Premier League meeting with Brighton next weekend.
