Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the latest edition of his Here We Go podcast about transfer news concerning various Premier League clubs.
One of the clubs that he spent some time on was Manchester City, and the journalist revealed the latest on Jules Kounde amid talk that Pep Guardiola’s side want to sign the Sevilla defender.
Romano suggested that City are convinced that the Frenchman wants the move to the Etihad, and they must now agree a fee with Sevilla.
He said: “What we have been told is that Kounde is ready to join Manchester City.
“If tomorrow morning, Manchester City and Sevilla find an agreement about the fee, Kounde will join.
“His agent spoke with Manchester City; it’s normal, it’s part of the transfer market.
“So, Manchester City are convinced that the player will join – now it is time to find an agreement with the club.”

Yes, looks good for Kounde to join
No, I don't want him
TIF Thoughts…
Sevilla signed Kounde from Bordeaux for £22.5m and he has gone on to make 40 appearances for the club, including nine in last season’s Europa League, which Sevilla won last month.
According to sporting director Monchi, Sevilla have rejected an offer for Kounde from an unnamed club, and it has been claimed that the La Liga side are holding out for over €60m (£54.92m) plus add-ons.
However, if Romano’s information is correct and Kounde wants to join City, it would appear to be down to the clubs to agree a fee for him.
This could be one to keep an eye on as the transfer deadline approaches.
