A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from Phil Hay after he was asked by one Whites fan about Daniel James possibly moving to Elland Road.
A recent report from The Sun had linked James with a move to west Yorkshire, claiming that the Welshman could ‘be tempted’ to join Marcelo Bielsa’s side having dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford since his switch last summer.
Hay claimed that Leeds are ‘more than ready‘ to sign the 22-year-old winger, but need to wait for Manchester United to make him available.
This post has drawn the attention of these Leeds fans, who don’t want their club to sign James.
Do you want to sign James?
No, would prefer someone else
Yes, would be a good addition to the squad
Think we dodged a bullet when Swansea pulled the plug. Looks a terrible player. A much worse version of Darren Huckerby. Hope we don’t pay any money for him.

Would prefer to see us sign an experienced Centreback, Attacking (No.10) Midfielder and maybe an experienced Goalkeeper and Left back?
But if that’s what Bielsa wants who are we to question it!

The Welsh winger nearly joined Leeds in January 2019, only for the deal to collapse at the last minute as Swansea City would not sign off on the deal.
James then signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2019, and after a stellar start to the 2019/20 season when he scored three league goals in his first four games, he hasn’t scored since in the Premier League.
This post continued to draw the attention of many Whites fans.
Surely he is, no minutes so far at all… Discounted price now too after his drop in form. It’s all worked out pretty good for us this.

Our transfer strategy at the moment is make one bid and wait or agree terms with players and wait ????

Overall, James has made 47 appearances for the Red Devils, and in that time, he has scored four goals and provided seven assists, and it seems as if the Whites would like to sign him.
If the rumours linking the winger with the Whites have any truth in them, it would appear the ball is in Manchester United’s court as Leeds would require James to be made available, according to Hay.
However, it seems we are not yet at that stage, though even if he is made available, it is clear that many of these Leeds fans do not want him.
