Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest social media post concerning the Yorkshire club’s transfer pursuit of Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul.
This comes after Leeds journalist James Marshment shared a post on his Twitter page relaying news originally posted in an article from Italian newspaper Messaggero Veneto (via TEAMtalk).
The newspaper claims that the negotiations between Leeds and Udinese “remain hot” and that an offer of €30 million (£27.4 million) with bonuses should be enough for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to sign De Paul.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their responses to this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:
Messaggero Veneto, a paper local to Udine, says negotiations over Rodrigo de Paul's move to Leeds "remain hot".
Paper also states that offer of €30m, plus bonuses, should be enough to secure deal for Marcelo Bielsa's side….— James Marshment (@marshyleeds) September 17, 2020

In response to his original tweet, Marshment said that it is “certainly too early (at this stage!) to get giddy (giddier!) at De Paul, but Messaggero Veneto paints a pretty promising picture” for Leeds.
Get it done!!!

De Paul has made 146 appearances for Udinese and scored 25 goals for the club since he arrived there back in 2016 from Spanish club Valencia for a fee of £2.7 million.

De Paul was Udinese’s star man last season in Serie A after earning himself a season rating of 7.25/10 for his performances in the 34 league appearances he made for the club (per WhoScored).
Come on then let’s not be tight…what a spine of the team we will have with this ? GET IT DONE ?

Would you be disappointed if Leeds didn't sign De Paul this summer?
Yes
No
Now that Marshment has relayed this news onto his Twitter page, this opened the door for lots of Leeds fans to have their say on the matter.

If we get him for that price it’s a bargain

Judging by the replies to Marshment’s post, it appears that these Leeds fans are getting pretty desperate to see De Paul make the move to Elland Road before the window shuts.
Looking at how impressive the 26-year-old was for his club last season, it’s no wonder these Leeds fans are getting excited about the idea of him signing to their club.
