Many Leeds United fans have been talking about the latest tweet that journalist Graham Smyth recently relayed on social media.

Smyth recently quote-tweeted a tweet from Yorkshire Evening Post’s Leeds United News Twitter account. He said that the Whites are ‘still keen’ to add a winger to their ranks and Rangers star Ryan Kent is still ‘among their options’ for that position.

Starting with an easy one how many points did Leeds end the season with?

This tweet from the journalist caught the attention of many Leeds United fans, who flocked to the update and made their opinion clear. Some of them were concerned about whether going after a winger could impact the club’s chase of Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul.

Is Kent good enough for Leeds?

No, he's not

Yes, he is

Yes, he is

Leeds have already made an offer for Kent in the past but the offer was rejected by the Glasgow based club. The Yorkshire side offered around £10 million for the player, but Steven Gerrard confirmed that Kent is a player who is ‘not for sale’. He also issued a ‘hands off’ message to Leeds (as per BBC Sport).

Some other Leeds fans also began talking about Smyth’s tweet and made their opinion very clear about the news update.

Kent was a regular for Rangers in the 2019/20 Scottish Premiership season. He also played 34 games in all competitions and directly contributed to 12 goals (as per Transfermarkt).

In the current Premiership season, Kent has already contributed to five league goals in six appearances for the Gers. It shows that he can often contribute to goals on a regular basis. Apart from being capable of playing on the left-wing, Kent can also play on the right-wing.

So Kent will clearly add depth and versatility to the Leeds side and if the club indeed is looking for an option in the wide positions, signing the 23-year-old may not be a bad idea.
