Many Leeds United fans have been discussing the club’s links with a move to sign Liverpool’s Harry Wilson this summer.

James Marshment recently posted about Wilson, saying that there has been ‘plenty of speculation’ linking the player with a move to Elland Road.

This comes after the Liverpool Echo had reported that while Wilson will not be leaving the club on loan, the Reds have set an asking price of £20million; The Sun has reported that Leeds are preparing a £15 million move for the player, while the Daily Star claims that any move will only go through after Liverpool’s Premier League game against the Whites.

Wilson was on loan at Bournemouth in the 2019/20 season. He made 31 appearances in the Premier League for them, scoring seven goals. Despite that, he earned a rating of just 6.52/10 in the league and as many as 12 players picked up better ratings at Bournemouth last season, according to WhoScored.

Despite that, another Leeds fan had positive words to say about Wilson, while another believes that the club’s chase of Rodrigo de Paul will be hindered if the club go after the midfielder.

While the 2019/20 campaign ended on a sour note for Wilson as Bournemouth were relegated, the Welshman did pretty well for Derby County in the 2018/19 campaign in the Championship during his loan stint there.

He scored 16 goals and got four assists in 43 appearances for the Rams, picking up a pretty good rating of 7.01 in the process. It shows that he certainly has the talent to be a good player and even though his rating at Bournemouth wasn’t exceptional, he still scored seven goals for a relegated side.

So this may prove to be a good move should Leeds pull it off, especially considering that Wilson is still 23 and has plenty of time to improve as a player in the future.
