Nice easy one to start with, who scored Leeds' first goal of the PL season?

One of the points that came up in his discussions with Joe Urquhart was transfers and, in particular, an update on the pursuit of Josko Gvardiol.

It seems as if the Whites think that they can do a deal for the 18-year-old, but they have not decided if that is something they want to do, and Smyth is not sure he would play that much.

Smyth said: “Gvardiol, the centre-back from Croatia – extremely highly rated, fairly expensive as well from [Dinamo] Zagreb.

“The last time we checked with Leeds United, they felt it was doable, but it wasn’t imminent, and there was still some work to be done on that and a decision on whether or not that’s the route they want to take.

“If you’re talking £20m, that’s a lot of money for a player who, unless [Liam] Cooper gets injured, is probably not going to play this season.”

Do you want to see Leeds sign Gvardiol?

TIF Thoughts…

It is claimed that Dinamo Zagreb want €25m (£22.79m) for Gvardiol, and Leeds’ last offer was around €22m (£20.5m), and it looks like the Whites are still pondering if they want to sign Gvardiol or not.

It looks like Leeds have the money but considering they have Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, and Pascal Struijk, it isn’t known if Gvardiol will play too many games if he were to join. So, it remains to be seen what the Whites decide to do about Gvardiol, but it is clear that they are undecided on a move for him but have the funds to buy him.
