Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to footage posted on Twitter by freelance journalist Nestor Watach, which highlighted an error made by Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla during a recent pre-season friendly.

In the footage, Casilla comes to claim a deep cross from a Stoke City player, which looks like it could have been easily dealt with by two Leeds defenders, however, the goalkeeper misses the ball entirely, before scrambling back across goal and, somehow, is still out of position when the ball is eventually slotted home a few seconds later.

Starting with an easy one how many points did Leeds end the season with?

In reaction to the footage, fans of Leeds have flocked to Twitter to have their say, with many slamming the Spanish shot-stopper, claiming that he is a liability and that they hope the club moves him on this summer.

Since moving to Leeds on a free transfer from Real Madrid back in 2019, Casilla has gone on to make 57 appearances for the club, conceding 55 goals and keeping 22 clean sheets.

Last season, the 33-year-old featured prominently for Marcelo Bielsa’s side until he received an eight-game suspension after an independent Football Association regulatory commission found that Casilla racially abused Charlton striker Jonathan Leko during a fixture in September 2019.

It would seem that this, plus errors like the one featured in the footage posted from the recent fixture against Stoke City, has left lots of Leeds fans wanting the club to move the ‘keeper on this summer.

Does Casilla deserve to play for Leeds anymore?

No, he should be sold

No, he should be sold

Yes, keep him

Yes, keep him

In our opinion, regardless of whether or not Casilla is the best or worst in the goalkeeper league, Leeds should do all they possibly can to distance themselves from the 33-year-old following the, quite frankly, disgusting remarks he made to Leko last year.

There is no place in football, or indeed life in general, for the comments Casilla was found to have made, and, as such, it is our belief that the club should do all they can to move the Spaniard on this summer.
