Image for Leeds United: Fans react to sneak-peek of new shirt

Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which offers a sneak-peek at what would appear to be the club’s new away shirt for the 2020/21 season.

The image, which was posted on Twitter by the club’s sponsor SBOTOP, shows the Leeds United club badge on a dark green and black vertically striped top, which would appear to resemble images that claim to show the club’s away shirt for the upcoming season.

In reaction to the image, fans of Leeds have flocked to have their say on the matter with many claiming that they love the look of the new shirt, and can’t wait to see it in full when it is officially released.

United and Adidas partnered up for the first time in the club’s history earlier this summer, with the club announcing they had agreed a five-year deal with the German kit manufacturer, who will produce the club’s playing and training kits for all Leeds United teams.

A statement on the Leeds website claimed that the deal was a ‘record-breaking’ one for the club, with chief executive Angus Kinnear saying that the club were ‘excited’ to partner up with Adidas, as well as stating that the deal was ‘another important step’ for the growth of the club.

However, in contrast to the previous comments, some fans of the club appeared to be less enthused about the design of the shirt, with some claiming that they were not happy with the colour of the badge, while others said they did not like the green and black stripes.

All in all, it would appear that these Leeds fans are split on the design of the club’s away kit. However, with there only being a sneak-peek of the kit officially released at present, perhaps some of their opinions will change when the kit gets officially released.
