A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from Phil Hay that includes a tweet from Aldershot Town as the Vanarama National League side confirmed the signing of former Leeds forward Ross McCormack.
McCormack scored 58 goals while he was at Elland Road, but after spells with the likes of Fulham, Aston Villa and Melbourne City, he has ended up signing for Aldershot in a move that has stunned many Leeds fans.
Are you surprised by this?
Yes, can't believe it
No, about his level now
That’s an outstanding signing for them. I’d say he could still cut it in league 1 tbf

The former Scottish international was at Elland Road for four years and had one particularly impressive season in front of goal in 2013/14, when he scored 29 goals in all competitions for the Whites.
He then moved to Fulham for £10.62m where he scored 42 goals, before a move to Aston Villa saw his career take a sudden downturn, as he was exiled from the team and sent out on loan numerous times.
Finally, he was released by Villa and has not had a club since July 2019, and will now be having a go in the National League.
This post from Hay continued to attract the attention of many Leeds fans, who were baffled by this development.
Such a shame how the latter years of his career panned out.
On his day for Leeds and Fulham he was a different class.

Served us well, shame about what happened. I will never say anything bad about ex players who did well for us….unless its Kewell!

McCormack was a good goalscorer for Leeds and popped up with some stunning goals.
However, after his spells at Elland Road and Craven Cottage, his career went wrong, and now at the age of 34, he will be playing in the National League.
It is clear from the responses that many Leeds fans are stunned by this news.
