Supporters of Leeds United have been flocking to a Twitter post which was shared by young defender Charlie Cresswell.
On Wednesday night, the Whites were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties following a 1-1 draw with League One side Hull City (per BBC).
During the match, Cresswell made his first-ever senior appearance for Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit and he featured for the full match (per Transfermarkt).
The morning after the defeat, the 17-year-old centre-back posted to Twitter and stated: ‘Proud to make my debut @LUFC’ (per Charlie Cresswell).

The young defender has previously made four appearances for Leeds’ under-18 side in the FA Youth Cup in which he scored two goals and provided one assist according to Transfermarkt.

For his performance in the defeat against the Tigers, Cresswell was awarded a 5/10 match rating by Leeds Live.
Alongside the fairly uninspiring rating for the centre-back, it was stated that the defender made ‘a few errors in the first half, but steadied himself in the second half.’
