A lot of Leeds United fans have flocked to a post from their club that contains a video from Sky Sports Football which shows the Whites’ new striker Rodrigo providing an assist for Spain in their 1-1 Nations League draw with Germany on Thursday night.
The Spaniard can be seen nodding down a cross for Jose Gaya, who hooks the ball into the net to save the game for Luis Enrique’s men.
This post has drawn the attention of many Leeds fans, who were excited by the 29-year-old’s display for his country.

Rodrigo is such a quality player, was not an easy game for him, but he’ll get more support at Leeds

Rodrigo was a lively presence for Spain in his 23rd appearance for his country as he had three shots, with one on target, 26 touches and provided an assist (as per LUFCDATA), so it is no wonder that many Leeds fans are excited by their new signing.

The former Benfica man was picked up from Valencia in a deal worth £27m after he made 220 appearances for the club, scoring 59 goals and providing 41 assists over six seasons at the Mestalla.
He is also versatile, as while he mainly plays as a striker, he can also play just behind the striker or on either wing, so Leeds have potentially signed a highly capable player in Rodrigo.
It is understandable that many Leeds fans are excited to see Rodrigo after his performance against Germany, so it will be interesting to see how he returns to the Premier League having previously had a loan spell with Bolton Wanderers in the 2010/11 season.
