According to recent reports, Crystal Palace are considering making a move for Queens Park Rangers winger, Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Following the £19.5 million signing of Eberechi Eze last week, according to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace could once again return to west London to make another signing from the Rs, with Bright Osayi-Samuel said to be of interest to Roy Hodgson’s side.

Crystal Palace fan? We bet you can't get 100% on this Palace 19/20 season quiz. We'll start off with an easy one... Which side did Palace face on the opening day of the 19/20 Premier League season?

Earlier in the summer, QPR had accepted a bid of £4.7 million from Club Brugge for the 22-year-old, however, he ended up rejecting the move to Belgium.

Much like Eze, Osayi-Samuel enjoyed a fine season for the Championship side last term, scoring five goals and providing eight assists over his 37 league appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.85/10 – ranking him as the club’s joint-fifth-best performer in the league.

One of the winger’s strengths, again, similar to Eze, is his versatility, as last season Osayi-Samuel featured in no fewer than eight positions for QPR. Being deployed in an attacking right-midfield slot appeared to be his favoured position, however, with five goals and five assists coming over his 23 appearances playing there last term.

TIF Thoughts…

Scoring 19 goals and providing 16 assists between them last season, it would not appear to be a bad idea at all for Palace to reunite Eze with Osayi-Samuel this summer.

In addition to this, considering the fact that both players are extremely versatile, it is not difficult to imagine both of them fitting into Palace’s way of playing somehow.

As such, we believe that making a move for the 22-year-old, who is valued at £1.53 million (as per Transfermarkt), would be a good idea for the south London side this summer.
