According to a recent report, Crystal Palace will ‘test Celtic’s resolve’ for Odsonne Edouard over the remaining days of the summer transfer window.
The report by the print edition of the Daily Mail (via BBC Sport) claims that Palace plan to make Celtic an offer they find hard to refuse for the £13.5 million-rated 22-year-old, prior to the closure of the transfer window on Monday.
However, a report by The Athletic recently stated that sources close to the Scottish club ‘insist he will not be leaving’ in the current window, while the Daily Record (Live blog, 08:21, 29/09/20) claim that the striker ‘would not be interested’ in a move to a ‘small’ Premier League club such as Palace.
Do you think Odsonne Edouard would be a good signing for Palace?

TIF Thoughts…
It is easy to see why Palace are, reportedly, keen to sign Edouard, as, since the striker made a £9.27 million move from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2018, he has gone on to feature 134 times for the club, scoring a remarkable 65 goals and providing 32 assists.
Last season, the France U21 international scored 27 goals and provided 19 assists across his 45 appearances in all competitions for Celtic, while, so far this term, he has already bagged five goals and provided one assist over his eight appearances in all competitions.
Considering the fact that Palace’s 31 goals in the Premier League ranked them above only bottom-of-the-table Norwich City in terms of goals scored last season, it is evident that they would benefit from the addition of a natural finisher and, from Edouard’s record at Celtic, he would certainly appear to be just that.
