Sheffield Wednesday journalist Dom Howson discussed the latest news concerning the Owls on the most recent edition of the Singing The Blues podcast and he spent some time talking about Wednesday’s “behind the scenes” recruitment work during the show.

So far, in the current transfer window, the Owls have signed Josh Windass, Chey Dunkley, Elias Kachunga and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru on permanent deals, while they have also added Chelsea’s Izzy Brown to their squad for the 2020/21 campaign on loan.

We will look at Marcelo Bielsa to kick off this quiz on the Championship's managers, which of these national teams has the Leeds United boss managed?

During this recent edition of the Singing The Blues podcast, Howson was asked if he could share any information with regard to the Owls signing any more players, which he responded to by saying: “Not at the minute, I mean, work’s going on behind the scenes, the recruitment team are scouring not just England, but abroad, for targets.

“You would think any more loan signings, although they’ve got Izzy Brown in, you’re probably looking at the back end of the window to try and get them over the line.”

Are you happy with the Owls' recruitment so far in the current transfer window?

TIF Thoughts…

So, judging by what the journalist had to say, it seems as though the Owls’ recruitment team are busy at work trying to identify more players who Wednesday may be able to sign and who could improve their squad before the current transfer window closes.

It may be an encouraging sign for Owls fans that Howson has shared that Wednesday’s recruitment team are searching for potential signings both at home and abroad, as it appears that the club are leaving no stone unturned in their search for players who could improve their squad.

Hopefully, for Wednesday fans, the Owls manage to complete all of the business that they want to get done by the deadline, in order to help the club in their battle against relegation this season, with the club starting the 2020/21 campaign at the bottom of England’s second-tier on -12 points.
