Starting with an easy one how many points did Leeds end the season with?

The fan channel posted the image of the Spanish message, which translated: “Never mistake my silence for ignorance, my calm for acceptance, or my kindness with weakness.”

The tweet carrying the image of the Instagram story caught the attention of many Leeds fans. They rushed to the post and made their opinions about Casilla very clear. Some of them had a negative opinion about the goalkeeper, highlighting his weaknesses and pointing out how he may not be good enough to be first-choice at Elland Road.

Do you want Leeds to sell Casilla?

Casilla was temporarily banned from playing football for eight matches after being found guilty of making racist comments towards Charlton Athletic’s Jonathan Leko earlier in the 2019/20 season, but the Spaniard returned to action towards the end of the campaign, featuring in a Championship game against Derby County in mid-July.

Some other Leeds fans also had things to say about Casilla, while a couple of them had positive words for the goalkeeper.

Casilla made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Whites in the 2019/20 season. He kept a total of 16 clean sheets and conceded 33 goals (as per Transfermarkt).

As per WhoScored, the 33-year-old picked up a rating of 6.65/10 in the Championship. 14 Leeds players picked up better season ratings than the Spaniard, including his replacement in the side, Illan Meslier. This shows that there is room for improvement in his performances and some criticism from Leeds fans is justified. However, whether his message is an indication as to where his future lies remains to be seen.
