Supporters of Leeds United have been reacting to a Twitter post which was shared to social media by the chief football writer at the Yorkshire Evening Post, Graham Smyth.

On Monday morning, the journalist shared news on a player who was due to be moving to Elland Road (per Graham Smyth).

The player in question is 16-year-old Charlie Allen, who is due to be joining the Whites from Northern Irish side Linfield ‘this week‘.

Smyth went on to state in his tweet that he was described as a ‘very good’ footballer by ex-Leeds striker and current Linfield boss David Healy.

Lots of the Elland Road faithful then flocked to the Twitter post to air their thoughts on the move.

The young forward is a 16-year-old Northern Irish national who has made a handful of appearances for his country’s Under-17s side (per Transfermarkt).

During the 2019/20 season, the youngster made three first-team appearances in the Danske Bank Premiership, in which he neither scored nor assisted (per Transfermarkt).

However, with an announcement yet to be made over a new contract for Marcelo Bielsa, some supporters were more bothered about that than their new signing.
