Taylor had refused to play for Charlton post-lockdown in the 2019/20 season. His contract at the club ran out and he is currently a free agent. The likes of Swansea, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday were also linked with a move for the striker (as per Sky Sports).

Some other Celtic fans also had a negative opinion about Taylor and they expressed it in their own tweets.

In the 2019/20 season, Taylor had done well in front of goal for Charlton. He played 22 games in the Championship and racked up 11 goals and a single assist for the club (as per Transfermarkt).

In total, Taylor scored 36 goals and got 14 assists in 67 games in all competitions for Charlton. It shows that he can be a reliable goalscorer. He is a free agent currently, so he would be a low-risk signing and could add some extra depth to the Celtic frontline.

With Vakoun Bayo being linked with a move away from Celtic and Leigh Griffiths facing injury issues (BBC Scotland via CeltsAreHere), they might need another reliable goalscorer. Considering Taylor’s numbers, he could be the goalscorer that Neil Lennon might need.
