Many Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their criticism for Hoops winger James Forrest.
This comes after Neil Lennon’s side crashed out of the Champions League, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Ferencvarosi TC at Celtic Park in their second-round qualifier.
After the match had ended, many Celtic fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Forrest and his performance in the defeat.
Here’s a sample of Celtic fans slating Forrest for his display on Wednesday:
I’m sorry James Forrest needs to be demoted to the reserves or something he is a waste of a jersey

Celtic fell behind seven minutes into the match after David Siger scored the opening goal of the game for the Hungarian visitors. In the second half of the match, Celtic’s Ryan Christie gave the home side a glimmer of hope with his equalising goal before Tokmac Chol Nguen scored the winner to kick the Hoops out of the Champions League.

After the match, the Scottish Sun gave Forrest a match rating of 5/10 and claimed that the 29-year-old ‘started brightly and looked capable of causing problems but lost his way in the second half’ before he was then substituted.

Now that the match ended with a defeat for Celtic, this opened the door for lots of Hoops fans to share their thoughts on Forrest’s display in the game.
All James Forrest does is fix his hair and foul people. Get him released I beg

Was James Forrest Celtic's worst player in this match?
Yes
No
I dont care how many assists or goals James forrest has scored he does not deserve to even be in that squad. That tonight is the most recent in a very long lost of performances where we would play better with 10 men.

It’s sad to see these Celtic fans singling out Forrest for his performance in the Champions League defeat. However, after being taken off in the second half of the match and being given a match rating of just 5/10 by the Scottish Sun, maybe it’s understandable why he has been criticised by this group of Hoops supporters on Twitter.
Hopefully, for everyone at the club, Forrest can improve his game for the rest of Celtic’s 2020/21 season.
