Many Celtic fans have flocked to a tweet from journalist Stephen McGowan in which he shared an article claiming that the Hoops are interested in Brighton’s Shane Duffy.
McGowan reports that West Ham, West Brom and Burnley are also in pursuit of the Republic of Ireland defender but the player discussed a one-year loan deal with Neil Lennon earlier this week.
Duffy made 19 appearances for Graham Potter’s side in the Premier League last season, scoring once in the home victory over Norwich City back in November 2019 (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Here is how a sample of the Parkhead faithful have responded to the report regarding the club’s rumoured interest in the 28-year-old.

Would you like to see Duffy join Celtic this summer?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that many of these Celtic supporters would be happy to see Duffy come in this summer. According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the defender is currently valued at £8.55m. However, according to the report, it appears it will be on loan if he does end up signing for Neil Lennon’s side. Many fans continued to make their feelings on the subject known.
