Plenty of Celtic fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the Hoops’ official Twitter account which confirms that 20-year-old centre-back Robbie Deas is leaving the club to join Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Deas is a Celtic academy graduate, however, he never made a senior appearance for the Hoops during his time at Parkhead. The defender spent the 2019/20 season out on loan at Scottish second-tier side Alloa Athletic, making 24 league appearances for them and scoring one goal during the 2019/20 campaign.

Inverness announced this signing via their official Twitter account and that tweet included a link to an article on their official website which confirmed that Deas is joining the club on a three-year deal.

Celtic subsequently shared Inverness’ post via a tweet of their own in which they wished the 20-year-old luck.

The Hoops’ tweet caught the attention of some Celtic fans who reacted to this transfer in response to Celtic’s tweet.

Some Celtic fans shared that they rate the defender highly in response to this post, with one particular Hoops fan sharing that they believe this decision is one that ‘will come back to bite’ the Hoops.

Considering that the 20-year-old never made a senior appearance for the Hoops during his time at Parkhead, it may not be too surprising to see that the club have deemed him to be surplus to requirements and decided to allow him to leave.
