Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the performance of Greg Taylor following the club’s 1-0 win over Dundee United on Saturday.
The Hoops picked up a 1-0 win at Tannadice Park on Saturday, as Albian Ajeti grabbed a late winner in what was his first appearance in the Premiership for Celtic. Taylor also featured in this game and started in the left-back position.
Despite the club’s 1-0 win, some fans weren’t quite happy with the performance of Taylor. Celtic1967.com aired some criticism for the left-back on Twitter and their tweet caught the attention of other Celtic fans. They also made their opinion clear about the Scotsman.
I concur. Decent enough lad it seems but simply appears very average.. think Lee Naylor!

Do Celtic need a new left-back?
No, Taylor is good enough
Yes, we need a new left-back
He’s had his turn, now give a chance to Boli Bolin…. nah just leave it

Never a Celtic player

Gents , he is a very ‘ average Joe’ at LB. Steady , decent left foot , weak physically but is definitely short of a yard if not two. Dependable squad player but if we want to excel and dominate at SPL level , never mind compete in Europe he is not up to that level . Clear as day

Taylor has now made three Premiership appearances for the Bhoys this season, starting in all of Celtic’s league games this term. He even racked up a couple of assists in their 5-1 win over Hamilton Academical in the first game of the campaign (as per Transfermarkt).
A couple of other Celtic fans also had criticism for Taylor and they made it very clear.
He has to do better.

Worst left back weve ever had.

Taylor was given a WhoScored rating of 7.18 against Dundee United and that was the seventh-highest rating that any Celtic player earned in the game.
Taylor managed to make three key passes in the game. This was the second-highest number of key passes that any Hoops player made in this fixture. He also won the joint-highest number of tackles of any Hoops player (three), tied with Nir Bitton and Ryan Christie in that regard.
This shows that Taylor may not really have had a bad game, as he contributed well to the team in attack and in defence. So the criticism from Celtic fans is a bit harsh, in our view.
