Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest comments that Neil Lennon has made about the SPFL’s act of charging the Hoops after Boli Bolingoli broke quarantine rules.
It has been reported that the Hoops have been charged by the SPFL after their defender breached quarantine rules following a secret trip to Spain. The SPFL have also opened disciplinary proceedings against the Hoops for this (as per Goal).
Lennon was asked about this in a press conference recently and the Hoops boss said that he is ‘disappointed’ that the club has been charged and this is because of the ‘actions of one individual’. Lennon’s comments were relayed on Twitter by Superscoreboard recently.
It caught the attention of many Celtic fans and they too were not happy about this.
Imagine if a club deliberately played players in a game when they didn’t know if they were infected or not. Well that’s what I would call serious.

Is it unfair for SPFL to charge Celtic?
Yes, it is very unfair
No, that is the right thing
Insane how one player could shut the whole world football down.

As a result of what Bolingoli did, Celtic have had two of their Premiership games postponed.
Lennon has previously described Bolingoli’s act as a ‘total betrayal of trust‘ and said that he is ‘livid’ about what has happened. Bolingoli has now been linked with a Parkhead exit as well, with Amiens said to have made a loan bid for the Belgian.
Some other Celtic fans weren’t too happy about the SPFL’s decision to charge the Parkhead club. They rushed to another tweet involving Lennon’s comments.
He has a point. If someone at the Clyde office popped over to Spain, came back never told anyone, and returned to the office, would Clyde be fined by scotgov? Doubt it.

Ofc they have charged them but again a certain team gets away with 9 outfield players not getting tested, all I want is every team to have a fair shot, Super scoreboard can you possible bring this up, will be surprised if you do ??????????????????? https://t.co/mnumeOHIvX

All in all, these Celtic fans believe that the whole club doesn’t deserve to suffer from the actions of a single player.
The Hoops are looking to win their 10th Premiership title in a row this season and these issues are only causing unwanted trouble to the players, manager and to the club as a whole.
Their league games have already been postponed and that is another hindrance that Bolingoli’s act has caused to the team.
So, Celtic can’t afford any more distractions or those distractions can throw a spanner in the works when it comes to their attempts of winning a 10th title in a row this season.
