Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest news update involving Leigh Griffiths that recently emerged on social media.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon was recently talking about Griffiths and he confirmed that the striker won’t be leaving the club on loan. He also revealed that the Scotsman is two weeks away from returning from an injury.
The update about Griffiths’ transfer situation left many Celtic fans talking and they took to Twitter to make their opinion very clear. Some of them believe that the Hoops should not keep the striker at the club.
Get shot of him. He’s a waster. he’s had numerous chances but his poor attitude shows through time and time again.

Do you want Griffiths to leave Celtic this summer?
Yes, he deserves to be sold
No, he has to stay
Be good to get rid of him permanently. If not a loan move to Aberdeen or hibs and pay % of his wages.

Griffiths was recently ‘reminded of his responsibilities’ after images of him hosting a party had emerged on social media. The striker had also turned up to pre-season training overweight and this led to Lennon publicly criticising the Scotsman. As a result, Griffiths was left behind in Glasgow when the Celtic squad flew to France for pre-season friendlies.
Some other Celtic fans also talked about Griffiths’ future at Parkhead.
Hopefully selling him instead. https://t.co/AGC7LHXI9f

All in all, these Celtic fans wouldn’t want Griffiths to stay at Parkhead and some would even like to see him depart the club on a permanent basis.
While Griffiths has had a fair share of injury issues in the past, he was an important player for the Hoops in the 2019/20 season. He found the back of the net seven times in the second half of the Premiership campaign and even racked up three assists for the Bhoys. He even scored a hat-trick in a game against St. Mirren (as per Transfermarkt).
This shows that if Griffiths gets rid of his fitness issues and other disciplinary issues, he can still be an important player for the Bhoys. So if he puts all the problems behind him, it will help him in securing his future at Celtic and it will help the club in the chase of their tenth Premiership title in a row.
