Starting with an easy one - which club did Celtic sign Moussa Dembele from?

Edouard grabbed an impressive hat-trick against Hamilton on Sunday, helping his side win 5-1. Jeremie Frimpong and Patryk Klimala had scored the other goals (as per BBC Sport).

When talking about Edouard and his future at Parkhead, McConnell said: “He really put down a marker yesterday. I don’t think his reputation is going to be enhanced anyway by scoring a hat-trick against Hamilton Accies, no disrespect to Accies.

Should Celtic accept any bids for Edouard?

No!

No!

Yes, we should accept the bids

Yes, we should accept the bids

“What you are seeing is a player who is on the up all the time. He looks like a classy player who is capable of going on to the top level. I know we keep coming back to it, but with the transfer window open now until October, I just would not be surprised if there’s a bid that comes in for him at some point before the window closes.”

McConnell really rated Edouard and believes that with the transfer window going on till the month of October, clubs can still put a bid in for the Frenchman.

TIF Thoughts…

While Edouard has started the new season very well, he was impressive in the 2019/20 campaign too. He found the net 27 times in all competitions and scored 21 times in the Premiership. As a result, he was Celtic’s Player of the Year for the season and finished as the highest scorer in the Premiership campaign.

It shows that Edouard is a very important player for the Bhoys. With the club hoping to win their tenth Premiership title in a row this season, Edouard’s goalscoring contributions could prove vital. So if a bid does come in for him, Celtic should reject it and keep him at Parkhead.
