Many Celtic fans have been responding to the club’s recent Twitter post announcing the signing of David Turnbull.
The Hoops came close to signing the midfielder just over a year after a move that would have seen Turnbull join the club previously collapsed when his medical indicated that he required knee surgery (as per BBC Sport).
The deal taking the 21-year-old to Parkhead could be worth up £3.25m according to the BBC.
Celtic were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, suffering their earliest exit from the competition in 15 years after they were beaten by Ferencvaros at home.
Despite the fans receiving what we’d assume would be positive news regarding the capture of Turnbull the next day, it appears many are still upset by their European exit, prompting one supporter to call for Brendan Rodgers to return.
Don’t care bring HIM home. pic.twitter.com/Mbyv8wWQ50

Are you pleased with the signing of David Turnbull?
Yes
No
Honestly feel sorry for the guy, hard to be buzzing after that embarrassment last night. Happy he’s here, it’ll just be a few days before anyone can show that

You’ll get as much champions league football with us as you would have with Motherwell. But welcome and enjoy! Can’t wait to see you turn out in the hoops

These Celtic supporters couldn’t help but show their disappointment following the club’s most recent defeat. In our view, it has taken the shine off of the Turnbull announcement and we can’t help but feel sorry for the young player.
