Speaking recently on The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee claimed that the club have an interest in Sheffield United midfielder, John Lundstram.

Since moving to Sheffield United from Oxford United in what was a £504,000 deal back in 2017, Lundstram has been pivotal in the Blades’ rise back to the top flight of English football, playing 88 times for the club, chipping in with eight goals and providing seven assists along the way.

To kick-off this quiz on David Moyes on the hard side, which club was his first game on the touchline at the London Stadium against?

Last season, the central midfielder played 34 Premier League games for the club, scoring five goals and providing three assists, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.70 – helping his side to achieve a highly impressive ninth-place finish in the league.

Due to his impressive performances under Chris Wilder at Sheffield United, there have been reports that as many as four Premier League clubs are looking at a move for the £7.2 million-rated 26-year-old this summer.

And, speaking on The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee claimed that one of these interested parties could well be West Ham.

He said: “John Lundstram also worked with [David] Moyes at Everton at the start of his career, I don’t believe he played under David Moyes, but he was there at the same time. He’s done brilliantly for Sheffield United this year, he’s just not signed a contract, so we’ve registered a bit of an interest there.”

TIF Thoughts…

As such, it would appear that @ExWHUemployee has hinted that West Ham could well make a move for Lundstram this summer, and with the 33-year-old Mark Noble heading towards the twilight of his career, as well as the injury problems of Jack Wilshire, it may well be a wise move by the club to bring in another central midfielder this summer.
