Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a transfer rumour linking their club with a move for Bournemouth striker Joshua King.
According to Football Insider (via Hotspur Related), the North London club have registered their interest as they prepare to ‘plot a move’ to sign the Norwegian forward this summer, with the player having just one year left on his current contract, although the Lilywhites could face competition from Serie A side AC Milan.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been heavily linked with a move for fellow Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson in recent weeks, but it seems as if they have perhaps switched their attention to the former Blackburn Rovers man, who was seemingly the subject of a £25 million bid from Manchester United back in January.
Who would you rather sign?
Josh King
Callum Wilson
In the most recent Premier League season, the 28-year-old striker contributed just six goals and four assists in 26 top-flight appearances (per Whoscored), as the Cherries were relegated to the Championship. However, considering Spurs’ lack of natural strikers following the injury to Harry Kane last season, a forward with Premier League experience could certainly prove to be an excellent addition to Mourinho’s squad.
Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported interest in King can be seen in the tweets below.
Would be great backup

Yes!! No this rumour is one I can get behind.
Would be ideal backup for Kane; has an eye for goal, good experience in the prem, quick and agile too, good work ethic.
Also perfect for Levy as his price tag should be low with only a year left on his contract.

Pleaseeee do it @levy can play off the left or upfront

Plenty of Spurs fans seem to think that King would be an excellent back-up option in their squad.
Depending on a fee, think this is a sensible signing. Can play upfront or on the wing. Think he also counts as a home-grown too after starting at United

Would be a better suited backup for Kane than Wilson in terms of hold up play and versatility across front 3

Out of all the strikers we’ve been linked with , I will take him … realistically

This is the guy to go for.

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans would love to see their side sign King this summer.
