Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported update on Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.
According to Football Insider (via Talking THFC), Jose Mourinho has personally spoken to the England international about joining the Lilywhites this summer, with the 28-year-old reportedly open to joining the north London club as a second-choice striker. The striker will no doubt be keen to secure a return to the Premier League following the Cherries’ relegation to the Championship in the most recent Premier League season.
Last season, the Englishman contributed just eight goals and one assist in 35 top-flight appearances, averaging a disappointing 6.51/10 rating. However, the former Coventry City man has shown in the past that he is a capable goalscorer in the Premier League, hitting 14 goals in just 30 appearances in the league in 2018/19 (per WhoScored).
Would Wilson be a good signing for Spurs?

I’ll take him like a shot in September alone without Wilson Kane faces the prospect of 2 nations league games, 3 prem games 3 Europe league QR and a League cup game 🙁 with Wilson id give him the league Cup, 2 Europa league games and possibly 1 prem

I’ll take him, we literally have no other strikers other than Kane at the club…with the amount of games, we will need another out & out striker! No risk as he knows the Premier league, he will be pushing for a england spot for the euros! Good business

Some Spurs fans have more aspirations for Wilson and are seemingly hoping that he could do more than just being a backup to Harry Kane if he joined.
Got to stop using the words “back up” & “second striker” we want a striker who wants to come in and make an impact and get himself in the first 11

I don’t want any striker that is happy to play second choice, Kane is not the ALL of THFC no player is.
