Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a post from Football.london reporter Alasdair Gold, in which he provides an update on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Kyle Walker-Peters.
The journalist wrote on Twitter, saying:
“Sounds like both Hojbjerg and Walker-Peters deals will get done but told fee agreed talk today is slightly premature. Similar noises from Saints’ end. [There is a] belief things will be finalised sooner rather than later, though. Hojbjerg ticks a few boxes and Spurs want him in for pre-season.”
It had been suggested by Fabrizio Romano that the Lilywhites had agreed a £15 million deal with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side for the transfer of the Danish international, whilst Walker-Peters was expected to join the Saints for £12 million. (per The Guardian). However, from what Gold suggests, it seems as if he feels that talks of a fee being agreed for both players is a bit premature.
Considering it was suggested just a few months ago that the Saints would demand £35 million for Hojbjerg, you could certainly argue that Daniel Levy will have done well if the former Bayern Munich man does join Spurs for £15 million this summer.
Do you think Hojbjerg will join Spurs in the next week?
Yes
No

Such a Levy deal. Get a player we need in, but through financial wizardry and a player we will only pay the Saints 40 quid over 5 years.

Sooner will be better. José likes players arrive early during pre-season so they have plenty time to know each other and work together.

Other Spurs fans just aired their excitement about the likely signing of Hojbjerg.
Hojbjerg is the signing in center midfield we need. Depth signing. Totally needed here and in other positions on the team to avoid injury-caused drops in results.

He’s exactly the type of player spurs are missing – good buisness
