Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to a Twitter post from @HotspurRelated relaying a report from L’Equipe (via One Football) which claims the club are interested in signing Habib Diallo.
The 25-year-old, who currently plays for FC Metz made 26 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 12 goals and providing his teammates with three assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Here is how a sample of the Spurs faithful have responded to the post. Many responded by urging the club to buy Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson as an alternative.

Diallo’s average performance rating in the French top flight last season was a respectable 6.97/10 (via WhoScored.com). But despite that, judging by most of the responses, it appears these Tottenham fans would prefer to see the club move for Bournemouth’s £18m-rated Wilson.

He’ll still ask for an installment payment plan for the next 10 years. Yet another French farmer no doubt.

None of these fans seem particularly enthused by the news the club are considering a move for the Senegalese striker but the reality is that apart from Harry Kane, Jose Mourinho is currently short of natural centre-forward options.
